Check in on IG (Intelligent Golf) - entry fees will be deducted from your account. The categories of membership eligible for entry to a particular competition are indicated by the following letter code:

  • F  - Full
  • 5  - Five-day - must pay a weekend green fee. 5 Day members playing knock out matches must make themselves available to play at weekends and pay the green fee if required.
  • Cty  - Country
  • Lifestyle - may not play in club knockout competitions, but may play in other competitions and win prize money but cannot be declared the winner of a ‘Board or Trophy’ competition.

Four ball better ball pairs match-play knockout played from March to September, yellow tees. Players must have a (c) handicap and have submitted a minimum of 6 cards within the preceding 6 months from each fixture date. Playing handicap is 90% of course handicap, lowest handicap deemed the professional then shot allowance determined and agreed before commencement of the tie.Ties decided by extra holes played in sequence from the first hole played, with handicap allowance as in the first eighteen holes. Winning pair may be asked to represent Mid Herts in the Crameri Cup. All previous winning pairs may NOT play as a pair in this competition ever again

Challenge Trophy

Singles match-play knockout played from March to September, yellow tees. Players must have a (c) handicap and have submitted a minimum of 6 cards within the preceding 6 months for each fixture date. Playing handicap 95% of course handicap. Shot allowance to be the difference between paying handicaps. Ties decided by extra holes played in sequence from the first hole played, with handicap allowance as in the first eighteen holes.

Players must have a (c) handicap and have submitted a minimum of 6 cards within the preceding 6 months for each fixture date. Playing handicap is 90% of course handicap, lowest handicap deemed the professional then shot allowance determined and agreed before commencement of the tie. Winning pair may be asked to represent Mid Herts in the Crameri Cup. All previous winning pairs may NOT play as a pair in this competition ever again.

Individual Stableford held on a Monday from March to September (8 rounds in total). Maximum handicap permitted is 28. Members with handicaps 29 or greater can participate but MUST play off 28.
Entrants must have a (c) handicap for the duration of the competition.
Full Handicap playing off the White tees. Handicap qualifier unless otherwise indicated.

Cavanagh Trophy

Mixed Greensomes Stableford played in October. Entrants must have a current (c) handicap. Draw made for pairings. Played off the mens card. Lower handicap x 0.6 plus higher handicap x 0.4. Ties will be decided on card countback over the last 9, 6, 3 and 1 holes.

Individual Stableford held on a Monday from March to September (8 rounds in total).  Players must have a (c) handicap and have submitted a minimum of 6 cards within the preceding 6 months of each competition round.  Playing handicap to be 95% of course handicap playing off yellow tees. Registration to be in accordance with the competition organisers instructions on IG. Handicap qualifier unless otherwise indicated.

4 ball better ball pairs Stableford format held in December. Players must have a (c) handicap and have submitted a minimum of 6 cards within the preceding 6 months of fixture date. Playing handicap is 90% of course handicap playing off yellow tees. 15 holes played only. Ties will be decided on card countback over the last 9, 6, 3 and 1 holes. Shotgun start. Draw made for pairings.

Mexican Scramble

Played in March and September. Teams of 3, draw is made based on the handicap range of ALL entrants. Handicap is calculated as 10% of the combined handicap total of the 3 players who make up the team. Played off the Yellow tees. Format - all tee off, best drive picked, next shot played by all except whose drive picked and so on for each subsequent shot until reaching the green when all may putt.

Prizes for a range of categories as organisers instructions, competitors can win one main prize only. Draw made for pairings.
