Men
The Men's section provides members of all standards with opportunities to play competitive golf against other Clubs. The Scratch team play at weekends in the Hertfordshire Golf Union Scratch League and this season have home and away fixtures against three other clubs.
If you are new to golf or just a bit rusty and not quite ready to join a club you may be interested in joining our
"Pathway to Golf" which is a 3 Stage programme. You can join at Stage 1 for complete beginners or for the slightly more experienced start at Stage 2. It is a mixture of small group sessions and individual lessons as well as the chance to meet and play a few holes with our members. We would love to welcome you and you can see
more here.
The club is an established member of the Hertfordshire Tigers League and will be playing home and away fixtures against a number of other clubs. Players with a handicap of between three and ten are eligible for selection for the ten man team and matches are played midweek (usually Wednesday afternoons).
We also enter a team every year in the Mail on Sunday Golf Classic which is a five man handicap singles knockout competition, which Mid Herts have won in the past.
The Men's section will be making their debut in the Hertfordshire Foxes League this season. This 4 ball better ball match play competition is open to players with handicaps between ten and eighteen. The eight man team will be playing ten midweek fixtures, usually on Friday afternoons.
The team for the Hertfordshire Team Cup comprises four category 2 players (handicaps 6 to 12) and four category 3 players (handicaps 13 to 20).
The Men also play a number of friendly matches against other clubs. These Saturday morning matches are open to all handicaps and are the perfect way to play competitive golf without the pressure of putting for League points or for a place in the next round!
Friendly roll-ups also take place on most days of the week and with our unique starting point arrangements, you will never have to wait long to get out on the course.
