Emmanuelle Hewson - player of the week

Hertfordshire did not fare so well this year in the County Match Days held at Harpenden GC. It was a round robin format of singles and foursome matchplay between Herts, Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, Cambs & Hunts. They put up a valiant fight in difficult circumstances, with several members of the squad absent because of Covid, injuries and travel difficulties, but our very own Emmanuelle Hewson, home for the summer from University in Kentucky, was a star. She played in all the singles matches (5 rounds over 3 days) winning 4 and halving one. She was awarded the Mary Oliver brooch as player of the week.  Well done! - Mid Herts be proud!
